I’ve always enjoyed being able to use my talents in design for the event industry. The position forces you to make decisions and stand by those decisions, as time is not always given for research and development. These events have ranged from fundraising dinners and auctions, political lunches, weddings, and corporate events. The design was not limited to decor and the schedule of events, but also marketing, event website design, and graphic design.

Pearls to Pluff Mud Dinner & Auction 2022: A Night at the races

This was an unforgettable night of celebration under the stars. Guests browsed through an amazing selection of silent auction items and packages while mingling with friends. The night was Kentucky Derby themed complete with a live horse and a decor fit for the owner’s box. The roses on every table signaled that this was a “race for the roses.” After dessert, they retired to the “Cigar Lounge” to watch as cigars are rolled by hand while you sip on a signature cocktail. In the most exciting part of the evening, they bid against other guests for a fantastic lineup of live auction offerings. This year we welcomed back The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra, as they played songs from “My Old Kentucky Home” to the American Songbook.

Pearls to Pluff Mud Dinner & Auction 2021: A Night in Havana

This was an unforgettable night of celebration under the stars. Guests browsed through an amazing selection of silent auction items and packages while mingling with friends. Savored the unbelievable tastes of Cuban cuisine, including braised pork, plantains, and mini Cuban sandwiches. After dessert, they retired to the “Cigar Lounge” to watch as cigars are rolled by hand while you sip on a signature cocktail. In the most exciting part of the evening, they bid against other guests for a fantastic lineup of live auction offerings. Finally, they took to the dance floor as they danced the salsa to the beats of Grupo Son Del Coqui, a 12 piece Latin Band. The 15th Annual Pearls to Pluff Mud Dinner and Auction was the most successful to date for the school. The event brought in over $109,000 profit for the school. This change represented a 312% growth in profits from the average total of the event prior to 2018 when I took over.

GARDEN PARTY WEDDING

LAUNCH FOR NEW PORSCHE 911 ATLANTA, GA

When Hennessy Porsche, one of the largest volume Porsche dealer's in the country, approached us about the launch of the new Porsche 911, we were thrilled. The dealership, which is in the same city as Porsche headquarters in the US would be well attended by executives, athletes, and many other influential clientele. They knew the keyword for the event would be Identity. When asked to come up with a theme that would match Identity, I created a design board inspired by the spy movies of the past, mainly James Bond. The theme was a huge success with major sponsors such as Bombay Saphire, and included not only hiring models and makeup artists, but corresponding with an audio visual department.
